Front porch roof in Chesterfield Co

Front porch roof in Chesterfield Co

This existing masonry stoop was having a water issue in the interior of the home and also a wet home owner as they would come in during inclement weather. A new covered front porch handled both of this home owners needs. We removed siding and framed in a 6′ x 13′ covered porch. Matching shingles, siding and cornice were used for this new front porch roof. Modifying and reusing the original aluminum railings allowed us to save the customer a few dollars.

Porches can be built in many shapes, sizes and styles. This small front porch has a shed roof. Shed and hip roofs work well when there isn’t space for a gable type roof. As you can see in the photo above, a gable style roof could not accommodate the height of the ridge as it would have been too close to the window above.

We custom build our projects and each are designed specifically for your home and needs.
